Santo Domingo.- An employee of the nightclub Jet Set revealed that for several months he warned businessman Antonio Espaillat that the collapse of the infrastructure “was imminent” and it was not safe to hold the party with merengue singer Rubby Pérez. A source of full credit informed De Último Minuto, that Antonio Espaillat would have ignored these warnings, showing evidence including videos and conversations with the businessman. As of today, 69 complaints and denunciations related to the case have been completed. Some of them also involve the Dominican State and the Mayor’s Office of the National District for alleged negligence in their responsibilities of supervision and structural control of the establishment. The charges brought include involuntary manslaughter, negligence, and violations of safety regulations in public premises. Social and legal pressure to clarify the facts and assign responsibilities continues to increase.
