Two heavy cargo vehicles, tractor-trailer type, slid off the road on the San Pedro de Macorís-La Romana stretch, heading towards La Romana.
The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of San Pedro de Macorís.
The drivers, identified as Juan Urelvi Díaz Santana, 36, and José Miguel Martínez Santos, 32, were unharmed.
Personnel from the Cumayasa Fire Department arrived at the scene, along with other authorities working to expedite traffic.
There is heavy traffic congestion in the area. Caution is advised for those traveling towards La Romana.
