A federal court ordered the release of Brazilian digital influencer Bruno Alexssander Souza Silva, known as Buzeira, who is under investigation in connection with Operation Narco Bet.
Buzeira had been in preventive detention since October 2025. The decision, issued Monday, August 17, by the Fifth Panel of the Superior Court of Justice, granted his release subject to precautionary measures, although the specific conditions were not detailed.
The influencer is facing allegations of money laundering and organized crime in connection with Operation Narco Bet. Federal prosecutors have also linked him to other criminal investigations involving alleged drug trafficking, criminal association, money laundering and illegal gambling.
With 14.4 million Instagram followers, Buzeira is known for displaying luxury cars, mansions, cash and international trips on social media. In June 2026, federal prosecutors filed a second complaint against him and four other people, alleging a criminal organization involved in money laundering, tax evasion and concealment of assets through sports betting platforms, international transactions, offshore structures and cryptocurrency.
