Santo Domingo.- Content creator and entrepreneur, Katherine Páez, announces that she is leaving behind La Real Pomposa, the name by which she became publicly known since 2014, and assures that she is beginning a new personal stage marked by changes in her environment, her way of living, and her relationship with God.
The influencer shared the reflection on her Instagram account after turning 34 on August 21st, a celebration that, as she explained, was different from the ones she was used to having.
Páez said that for years his birthdays were accompanied by parties, flowers, messages, and other public displays, but on this occasion, he decided to keep the date out of the usual spotlight.
“I didn’t announce my birthday. I didn’t have a party. There was no show,” he wrote when explaining how the celebration went.
From La Real Pomposa to Katherine Páez
The communicator indicated that weeks earlier she had decided to let go of the name La Real Pomposa to return to presenting herself publicly with her name, Katherine Páez.
That change also influenced the way he experienced his 34th birthday.
According to her account, several people who for years used to congratulate her when she used the character of La Pomposa did not remember the date on this occasion.
Páez assured that the situation, instead of causing her discomfort, led her to reflect on the differences she perceives between the recognition of a public figure and the bonds established with the person behind that identity. “It is one thing to be seen by a persona, and quite another to be truly known,” she stated in her post.

He also clarified that his message was not intended to complain to those who did not remember his birthday.
On the contrary, she expressed gratitude for the displays of affection received during the years in which she publicly developed the character that made her famous.
He celebrated his 34th birthday without a party
Páez described his 2026 birthday as the most different of his life and, at the same time, the one that brought him the greatest personal satisfaction.
On this occasion, he did not organize a public celebration nor did he make the preparations that had characterized previous anniversaries.
The experience, he explained, allowed him to celebrate in private and evaluate the new direction he intends to give his life. “For the first time I celebrated a birthday in silence, but with immense peace,” he wrote.
