The lawyers representing Mireddys González Castellanos and her sister Ayeicha González Castellanos have resigned from continuing their legal representation in the civil cases that both maintain against the artist Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez (Daddy Yankee), as stated in motions filed before the Court of First Instance of San Juan. In the case of Mireddys González Castellanos, lawyers Mayra López Mulero and Yancarlos Maysonet Hernández informed the court, through a motion filed on January 23, that they could not continue to exercise the legal representation of their client. In the document, they indicated that a justified and unforeseen situation arose that prevented them from remaining as attorneys of record.

The lawyers indicated that they formally notified González Castellanos of their decision to withdraw from the case and explained the current status of the legal process, including pending matters related to the discovery of evidence. They also requested the court to grant a reasonable time for the party to hire new legal representation. Similarly, on January 24, lawyer Alberto C. Rivera Ramos filed a motion to withdraw from the legal representation of Ayeicha González Castellanos, assuring that his client was duly notified of both the withdrawal and the ongoing judicial proceedings.

Senior Judge Anthony Cuevas Ramos evaluated both requests and issued an order accepting the resignations, formally authorizing the departure of the lawyers from the respective cases. These processes are linked to the litigations involving the corporations El Cartel Records, Inc. and Los Cangris, Inc., the central axis of the legal conflict between the parties.

However, in other related judicial proceedings, such as the lawsuit for the liquidation of community property initiated by Mireddys González Castellanos against her ex-husband, the appearance of new legal representation is already on record in the file. The legal dispute between the parties originated in December 2024, when the artist went to court to claim access and control of his corporations, amid the divorce proceedings, after almost three decades of marriage.
