Santo Domingo.– Upon reaching its tenth anniversary on Dominican television, the program La Opción 13.0 is committed to a new stage marked by a renewed image, a 360-concept set design, new segments, contests, and the incorporation of new talent into the comedy cast.
During a meeting with media representatives, the show’s general producer, Ericko Zapata, explained that one of the main changes this season is the transformation of the studio, with a more modern and versatile design that will allow for the integration of humor into the set design and the development of different types of content.
“We changed the house. We have a completely different set design, a completely different and modern concept,” explained Zapata when referring to the renovation that accompanies the program in this new stage.
The producer detailed that the new design will allow for working in a 360-degree environment, with greater possibilities for conducting interviews, segments, characters, and humorous proposals.
“We are going to have the concept of humor in the integrated set design, the most modern one you have ever seen in everything that is being done, because we are going to be in a 360 environment, where everything can be done,” he maintained.

The renovation also includes an expansion of entertainment content through contests and proposals that seek to maintain interaction with the audience. Zapata announced that, following experiences like La Factoría de la Risa, the space is preparing a new musical contest.
“For some time now we have been running some contests with the program. In fact, we currently have La Factoría de la Risa on the air,” he noted.
In that sense, he revealed that the next project will be a musical competition, a proposal that, as he acknowledged, represents a different challenge for the program because it moves away from its traditional format.
“The next contest we are going to do is something very daring because we are going to do a musical contest. Very daring for our concept, but our program continues to be, basically, its strength continues to be humor,” the producer stated.
Precisely, humor will continue to be the main element of the television proposal, despite the incorporation of new formats and production resources. Zapata also announced that the audience will be able to enjoy new humorous segments from the beginning of this new stage.
“You will see, starting tomorrow, beginning the program, opening the program, new humor segments,” he announced.
Bet on new talent
The renewal of La Opción 13.0 also includes a commitment to expanding its pool of comedians and providing space for figures who have emerged from contests held by the program itself.
Zapata highlighted the continuity of comedians such as Daniel Luciano, Fausto Mata, José Rodríguez, and María Tavárez, while also noting the integration of new talent into the project.
Among these, he mentioned Crucito de los Santos, winner of the Los Caza Talentos contest, who, according to the producer, has become one of the new faces that has responded best within the proposal.
“We held a contest called The Talent Hunters. In fact, we have one of the winners of The Talent Hunters, Crucito de los Santos, who performs excellently well; everything he does performs excellently well,” he highlighted.
For Zapata, precisely the possibility of discovering and incorporating new talent constitutes part of the vision with which this new stage of the space has been conceived.
“Our idea is to incorporate new elements of humor,” he stated.
The renewal of La Opción 13.0 takes place within the framework of the celebration of its ten years on the air, maintaining the essence that has characterized the program, but incorporating new resources to connect with an audience that consumes increasingly diverse content.
The space maintains its proposal to combine humor, current events, interviews, music, trends, news, show business, guidance, and entertainment, under the slogan “Humor, joy, and fun”.
The new stage also includes a renewed visual identity, graphic line, bumper, and musical theme, as well as a set design by scenographer Omar Martí, conceived to adapt to different production needs.
Opción 13.0 is broadcast from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 in the afternoon, on Telecentro, channel 13, and is rebroadcast at 7:00 at night on Telemicro Internacional.
