Santo Domingo, RD.- The third season of Dominicana’s Got Talent began this Wednesday, October 15th at 8:00 p.m. on Color Visión, with an inaugural gala that brought together participants from different provinces of the country. The television format, recognized for promoting new talents, returned with a jury composed of Nashla Bogaert, Waddys Jáquez, Pamela Sued and Irving Alberti, who evaluated the first acts of the competition.
Dance, singing, acting, comedy shows, magic, among many other talents were presented in the premiere program, with ten selected shows in this first installment, which move on to the next round.
Here are the eleven acts that stood out at the premiere and received a yes from the judges.
1- Aarón Veras – Moca
With just 9 years old, Aarón was the first participant to go on stage. He has been playing the drums since he was two years old and assured that his talent is “a gift from God”. The little musician expressed his desire to inspire other children: “My dream is that other people also fulfill their dreams, that they work hard and that they strive because without effort you never win.” His presentation obtained the “yes” from all the judges.
2- Urban Rebellion – Moca
The dance group was founded in 2021 during the pandemic by Noel Cruceta. “This project emerged during the pandemic and my brother and I were going to compete. I said we need to create an academy, there isn’t one here in Moca, and we need the young people we see dancing on social media to also come and dance with us”, explained Cruceta. His urban dance proposal received unanimous approval from the jury, managing to advance to the next round.
3- José Francisco Castillo – Santiago de los Caballeros
A 38-year-old and a salesman by profession, Castillo performed the song “Hoy te prometo” (Today I promise you). He recounted that he was raised by his grandmother after being orphaned, an experience that shaped his character. His performance impressed Waddys Jáquez, who was the first to give him a “yes,” managing to win over the other judges. He went directly to the next round.
4- Karla Morel – Santiago / Santo Domingo
At 24 years old, Karla presented an interpretation based on a Negroid poem from the seventies, with a message of inclusion and racial acceptance. “You have to accept yourself, and this poem, although it’s from the late 70s, embraced me, and you are black and you have to accept yourself,” she said.
In her presentation she added: “Black, black, she repeated, but from now on I don’t want to straighten my hair.” Her message was received with total support from the judges, automatically advancing to the next round.
Industrial engineer and finance professional, Ferrés presented an original act that combined humor and music. During his presentation, he addressed personal and health issues, receiving the jury’s approval to continue in the competition.
6- Private Stars – Santo Domingo
It is a dance group made up of girls from the Private Dance academy, directed by dancer Jen Vargas, they showed a routine with urban rhythms that included dembow and hip hop. The coordination and energy of the members secured their pass to the next stage.
7- Unpredictable – Santo Domingo
This group presented the first improv theater performance of the season. Based on ideas proposed by the judges, they built a story in real time. Their creativity was highlighted and they advanced in the competition.
It’s a little ballerina who presented a choreography of the song “Mi gente” by J Balvin. Her energy and attitude on stage, even though she was little, were enough to receive the judges’ approval and secure her place in the next round.
9- Jennifer – Venezuela
At 31 years old, the Venezuelan participant presented an illusion act with bubbles combined with magic. Her visual proposal brought diversity to the first gala and received positive comments from the jury, obtaining the pass to the next round.
10- Gregorio Felipe Silvestre “Yeyo la Estaca” – Santo Domingo
With 43 years old, industrial psychologist and musician, Yeyo related that his mother was the one who bought him his first guitar and that she always supported him, although she has already passed away. “I wanted to study philosophy or music and they had told me no,” he commented. With guitar in hand he performed his composition Mi pececita color amarillo, a pop rock song inspired by his personal experience. “To push my project forward” was his motivation to participate after 30 years in music. He obtained the “yes” from Nashla Bogaert and Irving Alberti, while Waddys Jáquez rejected him. The support of the public was decisive for his pass to the next round.

11- Karla Jasmine Estepan – Zona Colonial
At 13 years old, the singer-songwriter performed a song of her own authorship entitled “When you return from vacation.”
“My relationship with music is very difficult to explain because since I can remember I have always liked music. I would like to get people to hear a different style, which is what I want to propose, I want to show the world what I know how to do and what I am capable of achieving with it,” he expressed.
Karla Jasmine received the first “Golden Buzzer” of the third season and advanced directly to the next phase. In her first words, she thanked her mother for the support, highlighting that her talent comes from the family, as she is a prose writer.
The premiere of Dominicana’s Got Talent marked the beginning of a season that promises more performances, artistic diversity, and the opportunity to discover new Dominican talents in different disciplines.
