British actor Tim Curry died at the age of 80 at his home in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.
Curry became internationally famous for playing Pennywise the killer clown in the 1990 miniseries It. He was also celebrated for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
The actor had faced serious health problems for more than a decade after suffering a stroke in 2012.
His career also included roles in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, Annie, The Muppet Treasure Island and Scary Movie 2.
