A man was arrested near the residence of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly known as Prince Andrew, after he insulted him in an intimidating manner and an offensive weapon was found in his possession.
The incident involved Alex Jenkinson, 39 years old, originally from Stowmarket, Suffolk, who was intercepted after approaching hooded, while the former prince was walking his dogs. According to the territorial police force Norfolk Constabulary, the screams uttered by Jenkinson were considered intimidating and constituted an act of threat towards the former member of the royal family.
The arrest took place in the town of Wolferton, a short distance from the property known as Marsh Farm, where Mountbatten-Windsor moved at the decision of his brother, the current monarch
Charles III.
Following the arrest, Jenkinson was taken to the police investigation center in King’s Lynn, where he remains in custody awaiting trial.
The individual is facing charges for two counts of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behavior, intended to harass, alarm, or cause distress, in addition to an additional charge for refusing to provide a blood sample while in custody.

The episode generated concern regarding the safety of Mountbatten-Windsor, who, along with a member of his private security team, quickly headed to a car and left the scene, while the suspect tried to chase them on foot.

Norfolk about a month ago, after leaving Windsor due to the controversy stemming from his relationship with the late American businessman Jeffrey Epstein.
This association led to the loss of his official titles, including that of Duke of York, and his displacement from the Royal Lodge residence, where the security level is considerably higher than at his current residence.
The move was the result of a decision by King Charles III, who asked the former duke to leave his previous residence following increased public scrutiny of his figure.
Norfolk Police confirmed that Jenkinson remains in custody and will appear before magistrates in Norwich this Friday. British authorities did not reveal the type of weapon found nor did they specify the exact words used by the assailant during the altercation.
