New York.- Presidential hopeful Abel Martínez held several meetings in New York City with leaders of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) and representatives of the diaspora, with whom he exchanged impressions, stating that it is time to humanize public administration, with a government headed by an experienced politician, with a history of achievements and who does not lie. “Because Dominicans need the DR to be run with management and for honesty to be acted upon, and you who live abroad, who are a fundamental part of the economy of the Dominican Republic, cannot turn your backs on what is happening in the country,” explained the former mayor of Santiago.

Martínez said that in the PLD there are many things to change in the way of leading a new government and as a party. “We have that responsibility to connect with Dominicans so that 2028 has a beginning of a presidential administration that values the Dominican Republic,” said Martínez. “What the PLD needs is to turn us into a bridge between the people and the party that leads us to be the genuine representatives of the feelings of a people who want to have a good Government, which they do not have today”, he expressed.
