Couple dies after falling off a cliff in Brazil while apparently having sex

Brazil.- A Brazilian couple lost their lives when the vehicle they were in fell off a cliff while apparently having sexual relations. The incident took place in a rural area of the city of Venda Nova do Imigrante, in the state of Espírito Santo.

The victims were identified as Marcone da Silva Cardoso, 26 years old, and Adriana Machado Ribeiro, 42 years old. Cardoso, originally from Belo Horizonte, had recently moved to Venda Nova do Imigrante to work as a machinery operator. Ribeiro, a mother of two, worked at a local bakery and had a stable relationship with Cardoso for approximately six months.

Accident Details

According to the Military Police report and investigator Alberto Roque Peres, the couple had attended a party and then went to a viewpoint popular with paragliders. There, they parked their vehicle near a cliff. It is suspected that movements inside the car caused it to become unstable and fall over the edge of the precipice, even though the handbrake was engaged. The car fell approximately 100 meters before hitting a rock, which ejected the victims from the vehicle. The car continued falling an additional 300 meters until it stopped, being completely destroyed. The victims’ bodies were found naked near the accident site by a local caretaker around 7 a.m. on Monday. The authorities confirmed that there were no signs of violence or foul play at the scene. The case is still under investigation, and forensic reports are expected to determine the causes of the accident more precisely.
