Lima.- The president-elect of Peru, Keiko Fujimori, assured this Friday that she accepts the proclamation as president by the National Jury of Elections (JNE) with deep gratitude to the millions of Peruvians who voted for her and also with responsibility and humility.
“With the electoral process concluded and the results proclaimed by the JNE, I receive with deep gratitude the trust that millions of Peruvians have placed in me,” Fujimori indicated on her social networks minutes after the highest electoral authority proclaimed the results of the June 7 elections.
The right-wing politician added that a new stage is beginning, which she assumes “with responsibility, humility, and a deep sense of duty.”
