Ysidro Kagami Fujimori, cousin of President Keiko Fujimori, was found lifeless in the building where he lived alone in the La Molina district.
According to Latina, the police report indicates that the son of Ysidro Kagami Jiraku and Juana Fujimori, sister of Alberto Fujimori and aunt of the current President of the Republic, lived on the second floor of a building and his body was found lifeless after several days.
Authorities are carrying out proceedings to determine the causes of death.
Neighbors noticed their absence
The president of the homeowners’ association stated to Latina that Kagami Fujimori lived alone and that they stopped seeing him in common areas of the building where the president’s relative lived. “He always went out to buy bread,” the neighbor told the television outlet, adding that she had known the deceased for several years.
According to the woman, the neighbors’ concern increased because Ysidro Kagami stopped being seen “almost several days, almost a month”.
As reported by Latina, the neighbors notified Kagami Fujimori’s ex-wife about the situation and, with her authorization, entered the home and found the body.
Inside the dwelling, there was a plastic chair and table at the location where the deceased was found, according to the television report. The National Police of Peru later arrived at the property to carry out the necessary procedures.
The neighborhood leader said she was at the Tesá clinic when she received news of the agents’ arrival. Upon returning, she encountered the woman linked to the deceased and learned what had happened.

Juana Fujimori and the “Donations Case”
The trials against Rosa and Juana Fujimori, sisters of former president Alberto Fujimori, for the alleged diversion of donations received by Peru from Japan in the 1990s were declared statute-barred by the Second Liquidating Criminal Chamber of the Superior Court of Justice of Lima in 2019. The resolution also lifted the arrest warrants that had been issued against both of them.
The case had already led to convictions for the directors of the NGO Apenkai: Gladys Ueda Miyamoto and José Watanabe Yamamoto received four-year suspended prison sentences in 2016.
Rosa and Juana Fujimori were under investigation for criminal conspiracy and as accomplices to simple aggravated embezzlement to the detriment of the State, due to their participation in that organization.
