Lima, Peru.– The presidential candidate for Fuerza Popular, Keiko Fujimori, exercised her right to vote after 10:30 a.m. this Sunday at the Libertador San Martín school, located in the Lima district of San Borja, within the framework of the second round of Peru’s presidential elections.
Fujimori arrived at her polling station amidst extensive national and international media coverage and the presence of supporters who gathered around the electoral venue. The leader of Fuerza Popular cast her ballot and subsequently greeted those present before leaving the site.

The election day pits Keiko Fujimori against left-wing candidate Roberto Sánchez in a contest considered one of the tightest in recent years. More than 27 million Peruvians were called to the polls to elect the country’s next president.
Electoral authorities deployed a large-scale operation to ensure the normal conduct of the elections, while national and international observers closely monitor the process that will define Peru’s political direction for the coming years.
Earlier, prior to the traditional electoral breakfast, Fujimori urged Peruvian citizens to go to the polls en masse and highlighted the work of the electoral delegates of the political organizations to guarantee respect for the popular will.
