Lima, Peru.- The presidential candidate for Juntos por el Perú, Roberto Sánchez, exercised his right to vote this Sunday during the second round of the presidential elections at the María Reiche School, located in the Lima district of San Borja.
Sánchez arrived at the polling station after starting the day in his native Huaral, where he shared family activities and participated in a religious ceremony before traveling to Lima to fulfill his civic duty.
The candidate cast their vote after 12:30 in the afternoon.

The election day pits Sánchez against Keiko Fujimori in a contest that will define the country’s next president.
More than 27 million Peruvians are called to the polls in this second electoral round, considered one of the tightest in recent years.

Early on, Sánchez urged the citizenry this Sunday to exercise their right to vote responsibly and to strengthen democracy through broad participation at the polls in the second round of the election.
During statements offered from his native Chancay valley, in Huaral, Sánchez highlighted the symbolic significance of the election day, coinciding with the celebration of Flag Day and the religious solemnity of Corpus Christi.
