Nepal hit by another flash flood as torrents sweep through Gorkha

A new flash flood has struck Nepal’s Gorkha district, sending torrents of dark, debris-filled water through the Budhigandaki River valley. Videos reportedly show the rushing water sweeping away houses and bridges as it surges through the area.
The disaster comes less than two months after a devastating flood reportedly killed nearly 1,500 people, with another 5,000 still missing. The latest flooding has renewed concerns for communities already affected by previous disasters, although the full extent of the damage and any casualties from this new event have not been confirmed.
