NEW YORK.- A 7-year-old boy died burned to death early this morning during a fire, between the basement and the first floor, in the building at 600 West 178th Street, between Broadway and Wadsworth Avenue in Upper Manhattan.
The authorities reported that the minor’s name was Robert Resto, and he was found under a bed in the house. He was declared dead at the scene, and one of his parents is Dominican, it was unofficially reported.

Her 54-year-old grandmother, not identified by authorities, was taken to Jacobi Hospital in critical condition.
Several fire units participated in extinguishing the fire. The cause of the incident is not yet known, police said.
