The plane believed to be carrying the Venezuelan president captured by the US, Nicolás Maduro, has landed in New York state, NBC reports. The channel also broadcast a video of the landing.
The Venezuelan leader was kidnapped along with his wife this Saturday during a massive attack by Washington. According to sources from the U.S., the president of the Latin American country and his partner “will face the wrath of American Justice” in its courts.

The Venezuelan Government described Washington’s actions as a “very serious military aggression”. “This act constitutes a flagrant violation of the United Nations Charter, especially its articles 1 and 2, which enshrine respect for sovereignty, the legal equality of States and the prohibition of the use of force.
Such aggression threatens international peace and stability, specifically in Latin America and the Caribbean, and seriously endangers the lives of millions of people,” indicates an
official statement.
Caracas
warned that the objective of the attacks “is none other than to seize Venezuela’s strategic resources, particularly its oil and minerals, attempting to forcibly break the political independence of the Nation.” Despite the pressures, Venezuela warned the US: “
They will not succeed. After more than two hundred years of independence, the people and their legitimate Government
remain firm in defense of sovereignty and the inalienable right to decide their destiny.”
Many countries around the world, including Russia,
urged to release Maduro and his wife. The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized the need to “create the conditions to resolve any existing conflict between the United States and Venezuela through dialogue.”
