Suspected Jeffrey Epstein associate found dead in France

Daniel Siad, a former modeling scout whose name appeared thousands of times in court records related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, has been found dead at his home near Paris, French media reported.

According to BFMTV, Siad, 69, was found dead on July 20 at his residence in the town of Coulombs. The cause of death has not been disclosed, and French authorities have opened an investigation.

Siad worked in the fashion industry as a talent scout, recruiting aspiring models and connecting them with modeling agencies.

His name appeared 2,090 times in U.S. Department of Justice records tied to the Epstein case. Previous reporting by The Guardian alleged that Siad maintained regular communication with Epstein and received money transfers from him while traveling across Eastern Europe to recruit women.

Emails cited in those reports show Epstein asking Siad about potential recruits and their availability. Siad consistently denied any knowledge of Epstein’s criminal conduct, saying his relationship with the financier was “strictly professional.”

Jeffrey Epstein died in a Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges involving minors.
