Train derails in Barcelona after colliding with another train

A freight train driver was hospitalized after three grain-loaded wagons collided with his train in Martorell, near Barcelona, Spain. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

The incident comes amid a series of railway accidents in Spain this year. Last week, a collision between two high-speed trains near Urda, in Toledo province, killed 69 people, according to the latest official toll. Another fatal accident occurred in January near Adamuz, Córdoba, claiming 46 lives. A separate crash near Gelida, Barcelona, also killed a train driver in January.
