VIDEO: Fireworks strike U.S. Army helicopter during NFL stadium flyover

A fireworks display malfunction nearly caused a military helicopter to be hit during a scheduled flyover before Monday night’s NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Chicago Bears at Lumen Field in Seattle.
A formation of four U.S. Army UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters was flying at low altitude over the stadium’s open roof. The first three aircraft crossed without incident, but fireworks positioned near the giant screens were triggered prematurely, just as the fourth helicopter was leaving the area.
Videos recorded by spectators and shared on social media show red and blue fireworks exploding just feet from the helicopter, creating the impression that the aircraft was directly struck by the pyrotechnics.
Fortunately, no injuries or material damage were reported.
