Images circulating online appear to show a large fire at a Russian oil depot following reported Ukrainian strikes on energy infrastructure.
According to Ukrainian officials, the attacks targeted an oil facility in Azov, in Russia’s Rostov region, as well as the Subkhankulovo oil pumping station in Bashkortostan.
Ukraine said the Subkhankulovo station is one of Transneft’s key hubs in the Ural region, used to transport crude oil from Western Siberia to Russian refineries and export pipelines.
The extent of the damage and any operational impact have not been independently verified. Russian authorities had not immediately commented on the reported strikes.
