Caracas.– The Ministry of Education of Venezuela announced that in-person classes will resume this Monday, July 6, only in schools that have been deemed safe, following the evaluations conducted after the earthquakes that occurred on June 24.
Authorities reported that the suspension of classes will continue in Caracas and in several municipalities of the states of Miranda, Aragua, Falcón, Carabobo, and La Guaira, due to the damage caused by the earthquakes, with the latter being one of the most affected territories.

According to the most recent official report released by the Ministry of Communications, the death toll rose to 2,954, while the number of injured increased to 16,592.
The report also indicates that more than 16,000 people were left homeless and that at least 856 buildings were affected by the impact of the earthquakes.
Venezuelan authorities stated that the reopening of educational centers will be carried out gradually and only in those schools that meet the necessary safety conditions to protect students, teachers, and administrative staff.
