Patrick Clancy, the former husband of Lindsay Clancy, said in his first interview since his ex-wife’s mistrial that he still speaks to their three deceased children and asks them to help him cope with the pain.
“I talk to them,” Clancy told CBS correspondent Ross Douthat in an interview for “60 Minutes.” When asked what he tells them, he replied: “Help me. All the time.”
Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial ended in a mistrial on Sept. 4 after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict. Her lawyers have argued that she suffered from postpartum psychosis when she killed the couple’s three children in January 2023.
Patrick Clancy, 38, has also faced threats and misinformation campaigns since the trial. His attorney, Howard Cooper, said Clancy and his family have been subjected to an escalating campaign of defamation.
