Abasapema presents the 2025 financial report and unveils the 2026 sports calendar in San Pedro de Macorís

SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS. – The Basketball Association of San Pedro de Macorís (Abasapema) held its accountability assembly this Tuesday, in which it presented the economic report for 2025 and announced the program of activities for 2026.

The event took place in the conference hall of the Museo del Pelotero Petromacorisano and was led by the president of the entity, Fausto Paulino, along with the members of the Executive Committee 2025-2027. Paulino offered the welcoming words and thanked the presence of the affiliated clubs, highlighting the main achievements and challenges of his management. Subsequently, engineer Matías Sosa reported on the integral remodeling works of the Rolando Ramírez sports center, located in the Tomasito Binet Sports Complex, a work that involved an investment of nearly 17 million pesos.

Detailed Economic Report

Treasurer Carlos Dijol presented a detailed financial report for 2025, explaining the income received and the allocation of resources in the organization of the tournaments scheduled during the year. The directive reaffirmed its commitment to administrative transparency and the institutional strengthening of basketball in the province.

Sports Calendar 2026

In closing the activity, Paulino announced the competitive calendar for 2026, which will begin in March with the U22 tournament in both branches. In addition, an introductory course for coaches will be given and a talk will be held with the president of the Dominican Basketball Federation (Fedombal), Rafael Uribe, and Professor Fernando Teruel. The program will continue in April with the U17 tournament; in May, the U15; and in June, the benjamin and minibasket competitions. Support will also be provided to the Cocolos de San Pedro in the U22 National Development League and the Interbarrial Tournament. For August, the traditional Superior Basketball Tournament (TBS) San Pedro de Macorís 2026 is planned, with the participation of its six usual teams: Correcaminos de Quisqueya, Todos Estrellas de Consuelo, Centro, Titanes de Miramar, Warriors de México and Retiro 23. The calendar will close with the U25 inter-municipal tournament in October and the National Minibasket Convivio in November.

Delivery of rings to the champions

During the activity, Abasapema presented the TBS SPM 2025 champion rings to the Todos Estrellas de Consuelo team. Players, coaches, and managers received the distinction in an event led by the association’s board and representatives of the company Carlos Robles Placas y Trofeos SRL. With this institutional day, Abasapema reaffirms its mission to continue promoting the development of basketball in San Pedro de Macorís, strengthening both the training base and the higher competitions.
