Heat secure themselves at the top of the East with their 28th comeback of the year

Toronto, Canada. The Toronto Blue Jays continue to show that they are never out of the fight. The Canadian team achieved their 28th comeback of the season this Saturday afternoon by defeating the San Francisco Giants 6-3 at the Rogers Centre, consolidating their position in first place in the American League East.

Under the motivational mantra of manager John Schneider —“it’s nine against one every day”— Toronto’s offense responded once again, with all the starting lineup batters connecting for at least one hit. That consistency was key in an explosive sixth inning in which the home team turned the score around with a four-run rally against starter Logan Webb. The offensive awakening was led by Bo Bichette with a single, followed by a double by Addison Barger, who finished the day with four hits, the highest number of his young career. Then, Ernie Clement drove in the first run with a hit, Will Wagner hit a two-run double, and Tyler Heineman closed the onslaught with another two-base hit to extend the lead. In the eighth inning, with the game still within reach, Heineman once again punished with the bat by hitting his fourth home run in the Major Leagues, securing the victory. Closer Jeff Hoffman was in charge of sealing the triumph with his 23rd save of the year. With this new comeback, the Blue Jays tie with the Angels as the teams with the most come-from-behind wins in the American League, and remain ahead of the Yankees in a division that promises excitement until the end.

Game Summary:

• Toronto 6 – San Francisco 3

The Blue Jays will look to complete the sweep this Sunday at home, with morale high and the lead at stake.
