SANTO DOMINGO.– The Leones del Escogido were proclaimed two-time champions of the Dominican Baseball League (LIDOM) by winning their 18th championship in the history of the franchise, after defeating the Toros del Este with a score of 1 to 0 in the fifth game of the final series, held at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium.

The victory allowed the Lions to close the series with a record of 4-1, in a final agreed to the best of seven games, confirming their dominance and consistency throughout the decisive match. From the early hours, the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium was completely packed, with an imposing red tide that never stopped cheering for their team. The scarlet fanbase played a fundamental role, turning the park into a real party.
