SANTO DOMINGO.– The Leones del Escogido will take their title to the streets of the capital this Thursday starting at 3:00 in the afternoon, when they hold their traditional champions’ caravan after conquering the number 18 crown of the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM).

The scarlet parade will start from the Quisqueya Juan Marichal Stadium and will go through several of the main avenues of the National District, and then conclude at the same starting point, allowing the direct encounter between players, managers and the loyal red fanbase. The caravan route will include the avenues Tiradentes, John F. Kennedy, Expreso V Centenario, Padre Castellanos, Josefa Brea, México, Máximo Gómez, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln, in a wide journey through emblematic sectors of the city. The Escogido sealed the championship last Tuesday, January 27th, by defeating 1-0 to the Toros del Este in the fifth game of the Final Series, agreed to the best of seven, which they dominated 4-1. The title marks the return of the reds to the top of Dominican winter baseball.With this conquest, the scarlet franchise reaffirms its historic winning tradition and remains one of the most successful organizations in the country, ranking in third place historically in championships, only behind the Tigres del Licey (24) and the Águilas Cibaeñas (22).
The caravan will be the stage to celebrate a memorable season with the fans and a new golden chapter in the history of the Leones del Escogido.
