Leury García, Carlos Franco, and Julio Carreras lead the Giants’ integrations

The players Leury García, Julio Carreras, Carlos Franco, Edwin Espinal, as well as pitchers Rafael Kelly, Kelvin Bautista, Marco Jiménez, Wilkin Ramos, and Enmanuel Mejía joined the team. •Leury García, a player with experience in Major Leagues and a leader in our franchise, comes from playing in Mexico in 2025. Known for his good offense and versatility that allows him to defend both in the outfield and in the infield. •Julio Carreras, young infielder who belongs to the Colorado Rockies, played at the AA and AAA levels in 2025, standing out with good defense and contact, with three seasons of experience in LIDOM •Carlos Franco, a left-handed third baseman with great experience, participated in the Venezuelan and Mexican leagues in 2025, reaffirming his status as a consistent hitter who had an excellent campaign with the Gigantes del Cibao. •Edwin Espinal, power hitter, played in Mexican baseball during the current season, known for his aggressiveness at home plate, his elite defense, and always a good teammate in the clubhouse. •Rafael Kelly, right-handed pitcher, comes from playing in an independent league, seeking a new opportunity in winter ball. •Kelvin Bautista, left-handed pitcher, with experience in the minor leagues of organized baseball belonging to the Dodgers, where he played in 2025 at the double-A level. •Marco Jiménez, young right-handed pitcher with projection, born in San Francisco de Macorís, who comes from his best performance in the minor leagues with Detroit and seeks to consolidate within the Giants’ pitching staff. •Wilkin Ramos, right-handed pitcher who adds depth to the franchise’s pitching staff, with experience in Double-A and Triple-A with the Pirates. •Enmanuel Mejía, right-handed pitcher, who joins the rotation of arms available to the management and the technical staff, experience in LIDOM for several seasons and consistent fastball. The operations management led by Jaylon Pimentel valued the presence of the nine players at the start of the second week of training and highlighted the commitment shown by each one. Similarly, leader José Leger expressed satisfaction with the effort of all players, coaches, executives, and the entire staff for having so many players in the first eight days of practice. The training sessions of the Gigantes del Cibao will continue tomorrow Saturday starting at 8:30 in the morning at the Julián Javier Stadium.
