Santo Domingo.– The Gigantes del Cibao and the Metros de Santiago emerged victorious this Sunday in the continuation of the elimination phase of the Super Liga LNB, consolidating their aspirations heading into the final stretch of the championship.
In San Francisco de Macorís, the Gigantes offered a resounding offensive and defensive demonstration by defeating the Titanes del Sur 103-68 at the Mario Ortega sports center.
The San Francisco de Macorís team dominated the match starting from the second period, where they recorded an explosive 35-17 run that set the definitive course of the game. The lead extended up to 34 points during the third quarter.
Four Giants players finished with double-digit scoring, led by Luismal Ferreiras, who achieved a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds. Charles Brown Jr. contributed 21 units, Francis Fitzgerald added 18, and Miguel Miranda finished with 16 points.

For the Titans, Isaiah Rivera led the offense with 19 points, while Richard Bautista added 13 and Romeao Ferguson finished with 10 units.
With the win, the Giants improved their record to 15-5, while the Titans dropped to 8-12.
Meters resist the Heroes’ reaction
In Moca, the Santiago Metros withstood an intense reaction in the final minutes to prevail 92-86 over the Heroes at the Moca 85 sports center.
Jordan Gerónimo and Jordan Hall led the Santiago triumph with 20 points each. Gerónimo shot 69 percent from the field, in addition to grabbing six rebounds and dishing out four assists. Hall complemented with six assists, four rebounds, and four steals.
Anthony Fairley added 13 points and eight rebounds, while Jhery Matos contributed 11 units.
For the Heroes, Kevin Obanor recorded a double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds. Eloy Vargas added 18 points and 10 rebounds, while Kam’ron Blue contributed 17 units.
The Metros made the difference in the fourth quarter thanks to an offensive run that allowed them to take a double-digit lead. Although the Héroes managed to close the gap in the final minutes, the visiting team executed better in the decisive moments to secure the victory.
The team led by Melvyn López also brought their record to 15-5 to remain at the top of the standings.
