With this performance, Towns reached his 48th double-double of the season, solidifying himself as the absolute leader of the league in that department, surpassing figures like Nikola Jokić and Jalen Johnson.

Key Collective Contribution

The Knicks’ triumph also featured an outstanding performance by Josh Hart, who scored 33 points with remarkable field goal efficiency, in one of the best nights of his career. In addition, Puerto Rican point guard José Alvarado contributed 16 points and 10 assists, achieving a double-double in his return to the starting lineup due to Jalen Brunson’s injury. Other important contributions came from OG Anunoby, with 26 points and eight rebounds, while Mikal Bridges and Jordan Clarkson added 10 units each.

Knicks solidify themselves in the East

With the victory, the Knicks improve their record to 45-25 and remain firm in third place in the Eastern Conference, only behind Boston and Detroit. The New York team extended its winning streak to four games, showing collective strength despite the absences.

Pacers in crisis

For their part, Indiana continues on a historic losing streak, accumulating 14 consecutive losses. Despite the efforts of players like Jarace Walker (16 points) and T.J. McConnell (double-double), the Pacers failed to stop the Knicks’ offensive dominance. Towns’ performance reaffirms his status as one of the most consistent players of the season and a key piece in New York’s aspirations in the current NBA campaign.
