Richard Bautista wins Player of the Week award in the LNB Super League

SANTO DOMINGO.- Star point guard Richard Bautista was chosen as Player of the Week for the LNB Super League, following his outstanding performance with the Titanes del Sur during the period between May 26 and May 31.

Bautista, popularly known as “Manito”, led the Titanes to a 2-1 record during the past week, also contributing to the team securing their qualification for the championship’s elimination phase.

In the three matches played, the talented player averaged 23.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game, shooting 54 percent from the field and recording an efficiency rating of 75.

The point guard obtained 26 of the 59 votes cast by specialized journalists covering the first division circuit, surpassing Ramón Galloway, of the Reales de La Vega, who received 11 votes.

Galloway also had an outstanding performance with the Veganos, averaging 24.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in three games, in addition to 44 percent shooting from the field and an efficiency of 77.

In the voting, Kevin Obanor of the Héroes de Moca and Luismal Ferreiras of the Gigantes Basketball Club also received support, both with 10 votes, while Malachi Richardson of the Reales and Troy Cracknell of the Metros de Santiago each received one mention.

With this distinction, Richard Bautista joins Andersson García, who has won it on three occasions, as well as Luismal Ferreiras, Jordan Hall, and Gerard Suero, as the players recognized so far in the 2026 season of the LNB Super League.
