Soles del Este holds mini-camp with a view to the LNB Super League 2026

SAN PEDRO DE MACORÍS, RD. — The Soles del Este franchise held a three-day minicamp last weekend as part of its preparation for the 2026 National Basketball League (LNB) championship, which is scheduled to open on Tuesday, April 14th.

The training sessions were held at the sports complex of the Centro de San Pedro de Macorís Club, under the direction of head coach Yoel Feliz, accompanied by his assistants Miguel Reyes (Moreno), Jochy Fulgencio and José Branche. The franchise president, Pedro Chalas Ferreras, reported that the minicamp allowed observation of the young talent belonging to the organization, as well as invited players seeking to be part of the team for the next season of the only professional basketball league in the country, presided over by Antonio Mir. Chalas Ferreras explained that the practices will be recessed during the Easter break and will resume officially on Monday, April 6, when the entire squad will be integrated. Among the players who participated in the minicamp are Javier Del Rosario, Juan Correa, José Familia, Danny Solano, Oliver Bautista, José Polanco and Edison Montilla, as well as the young prospects Brandol Williams, Salomó Beaublanc, Andrés Martínez, Eddy Germán, Melquisedec Rodríguez, Jenky Abreu and Miguel García. The franchise also announced its first reinforcement for the season, American Anthony Lawrence, a 6’7″ forward who graduated from the University of Miami. Soles del Este will play their home games at the Rolando Ramírez sports center of the Tomás Binet Sports Complex, in San Pedro de Macorís, where they will play seven of their 14 regular season games.
