SANTO DOMINGO. The Marineros de Puerto Plata defeated the Leones de Santo Domingo 100 to 93 in a regular season game of the LNB Super League held this Friday at the San Carlos Club.

With the triumph, the Mariners won the particular series 2-0 against the Scarlets and place their record at 7-7 and climb to the fifth step of the table, while the Reds (5-10) occupy the seventh position with one game remaining.
The Mariners won the game by holding the Lions to 14 points in the final quarter, who allowed 31 points. The partial scores were 25-30, 29-28, 15-21 and 31-14 in favor of the team from the Bride of the Atlantic.
