Almánzar completed four bouts to win the gold. In the semifinals, she defeated Mexican Ariadna Gil 5-0, securing her spot in the title match.

The Dominican thus improved on the result obtained in San Salvador 2023, where she won the silver medal in the same category, and now climbs to the top of the podium at the Games held at home.

The triumph represents another important medal for Dominican boxing, one of the disciplines that contributes the most to the national delegation in Santo Domingo 2026.
