Cibao FC visits Jarabacoa looking to consolidate its position at the top of the LDF

SANTIAGO. – Cibao FC will undertake this Saturday the ascent towards the mountains of Jarabacoa to play matchday 15 of the Dominican Republic Football League (LDF 2025-2026), in a match scheduled for 4:00 in the afternoon at the Junior Mejía stadium. The tournament is dedicated to the outstanding promoter of national football, doctor José Rafael Abinader.

The orange team above is committed to this, sharing second position with Salcedo FC, both with 31 points, only behind the 34 accumulated by Club Atlético Pantoja. Meanwhile, Jarabacoa FC is fighting from eighth place with 13 units, obliged to keep adding to enter the classification zone, which closes in sixth place.

Both clubs already faced each other on September 14 at the Cibao FC stadium, where the Santiago team imposed their dominance with a 2-0 victory.

Cibao FC boasts a solid performance so far this tournament: 10 victories, one draw, and only 3 defeats in 14 matches. Their 31 goals scored —under the direction of Junior Sainvilus— and the mere 11 conceded by the trio of goalkeepers Miguel Lloyd, Edwin Frías, and Elián López, give them a goal difference of +20, the highest in the entire league. The 15th matchday continues on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. with the match between Universidad O&M and Atlético Vega Real. There will be double action on Sunday: Delfines del Este will receive Atlético Pantoja, while Salcedo FC will do the same against Moca FC at the Domingo Polonia stadium. The match that was to be played at the Leonel stadium, in Puerto Plata, between Atlántico FC and San Cristóbal, has been suspended due to the expulsion of the southern club from the league by FIFA.
