The Parisian side, current Champions League winners, lifted the trophy again for the second consecutive year and became the third club in history to achieve this, after Real Madrid and Milan.
Georgian Kvicha Kvaratskhelia opened the scoring in the 21st minute, taking advantage of an individual play to give the team led by Luis Enrique the lead.
Aston Villa reacted before halftime and achieved the equalizer in the 45th minute through Brian Madjo, who took advantage of a cross from John McGinn to overcome the Parisian defense and make it 1-1.
In the second half, Luis Enrique moved his pieces and brought on Ousmane Dembélé, a decision that ended up being decisive. The French attacker assisted Desire Doue, who finished alone in the 61st minute to make it the final 2-1.
The goal was initially disallowed for offside, but after a VAR review, it was determined that the goal was valid.
With this victory, PSG adds its second consecutive European Super Cup and joins Real Madrid and Milan as the only clubs that have managed to retain the title in consecutive years.

For Luis Enrique, furthermore, it represents his 13th trophy as PSG coach since his arrival at the French team in 2023.
The Spanish coach once again prevailed over his compatriot Unai Emery, who suffered his fourth defeat in as many UEFA Super Cup finals, following his previous ones with Sevilla and Villarreal.
Aston Villa sought the equalizer during the final minutes, but PSG managed to control the match and preserve the lead to start the season with a new trophy in their cabinet.
