Santo Domingo.– María González and Allanis Navas, from Puerto Rico, defeated the Dominican Republic pair, composed of Crismil Paniagua and Julibeth Payano, 2-0 in the women’s beach volleyball tournament semifinal, held at the main court of the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026.

The Puerto Ricans prevailed with partials of 21-15 and 21-14, securing their qualification for the grand final of the tournament.

Individually, for the Dominican Republic, Crismil Paniagua was her team’s top scorer with 15 points, the result of 12 attacks and 3 aces, while Julibeth Payano contributed 10 units, distributed in 6 attacks and 4 aces.
With this result, Puerto Rico advanced to the final of the women’s beach volleyball tournament at the XXV Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, where they will seek to defend the gold medal won in San Salvador 2023.
