Lionel Messi collectibles stolen during looting in Paris

Two hooded individuals stole collectible items belonging to Argentine soccer star Lionel Messi during the looting that followed violent protests in Paris, France. Videos circulating on social media showed the individuals displaying the stolen memorabilia, including a framed, autographed Barcelona jersey worn by Messi during his time with the Spanish club.
A second item was a framed captain’s armband, also signed by Messi, that he wore while playing for Barcelona. The thefts occurred amid widespread damage to shops, supermarkets, pharmacies and other businesses during Saturday’s unrest. On Sunday morning, cleanup crews worked to remove burned trash bins, damaged public bicycles and other debris used as barricades, while several commercial establishments were left with broken windows and stolen merchandise.
