The Dominicans who will put on the 2026 World Series ring with Milwaukee: Gary Sánchez, Abner Uribe and Juan Sandoval

Dominican talent maintained its presence with the Milwaukee Brewers through catcher Gary Sánchez, relief pitcher Abner Uribe, and assistant pitching coach Juan Sandoval, who are part of the organization during the 2026 Major League Baseball season and will take home their World Series ring this year.
According to Major League Baseball (MLB), Sánchez and Uribe appear on the team’s roster, while Sandoval is part of the coaching staff led by Pat Murphy. All three also appear on the official rosters for Milwaukee’s participation in the 2026 World Series.
The participation of these three representatives reflects the presence of Dominicans both on the field and in the work of preparing and developing pitchers.
Dominican talent in Milwaukee
Gary Sánchez: experience behind the plate
The catcher, born in Santo Domingo on December 2, 1992, returned to Milwaukee in February 2026 on a one-year contract, with a mutual option for 2027.
Sánchez had already played for the Brewers in 2024, when he appeared in 89 games, hit 11 home runs, and drove in 37 runs. Additionally, he was selected to the All-Star Game in 2017 and 2019.
Abner Uribe: presence in the bullpen
The right-handed pitcher, born in Santo Domingo on June 20, 2000, is part of the Brewers’ group of relief pitchers.

Uribe was included among Milwaukee’s 13 pitchers for the National League Championship Series and subsequently appeared on the 2026 World Series roster, according to official lists released by MLB.
Juan Sandoval: contribution from the coaching staff
Sandoval joined the Major League coaching staff as an assistant pitching coach for the 2026 season, after working in minor league pitcher development.
According to MLB, he joined the organization in 2022 as a pitching coach in the Dominican Republic. In 2024, he moved on to serve as an assistant minor league pitching coordinator, a role he held throughout 2025.
His arrival to the Major League team represents a new stage in a career that also included experience as a professional pitcher.
Dominican talent in Major League Baseball
The presence of Sánchez, Uribe, and Sandoval allows for the identification of three distinct roles within the Brewers: catching, relief pitching, and setup pitching.
In Sandoval’s case, his trajectory is particularly significant. MLB published a report in March 2026 about his arrival to the Major League coaching staff, two decades after an injury that affected the vision in his right eye altered his playing career.
While Sánchez brings experience as a catcher and Uribe joins the pitching staff, Sandoval participates in the team’s technical work.
All three are part of the Dominican representation in Milwaukee during a season in which the Brewers reached the World Series, according to the official roster released by Major League Baseball.
