World Day of the Unborn Child
World Unborn Child Day is commemorated every March 25 and is dedicated to promoting the defense of human life from conception.
This date was initially established in Latin American countries and coincides with the feast of the Annunciation, which recalls the moment when, according to Christian tradition, the angel announced to the Virgin Mary that she would be a mother.
The main objective of this commemoration is to raise awareness about the importance of protecting prenatal life, as well as to promote values related to motherhood, family, and respect for human dignity. In various countries, including the Dominican Republic, educational activities, reflection sessions, and social campaigns are carried out, focusing on the protection of the unborn child.
