Dominican artists present in Puerto Rico the “Collective Expo: Caribbean Confluence”

San Juan. – A group of renowned Dominican visual artists inaugurated the exhibition “Expo Colectiva: Confluencia Caribeña” at the Casa Dominicana in San Juan, an event that seeks to strengthen cultural ties between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico through art. The exhibition brings together works by the artists Ana María Henríquez, Alexander María, Amaury Hernández, Ambiorix Saldaña, Braudy Polanco, Cristopher Rodríguez, Carlos Thomas, Edward Salcedo, Es Vásquez, Santo Marte and Franklin Rodríguez, who present a diversity of styles, techniques and visions centered on Caribbean identity.

The painter Ambiorix Saldaña, one of the organizers of the event, explained that this collective exhibition is the result of a joint effort carried out by several Dominicans temporarily residing in Puerto Rico, with the purpose of “uniting Dominican identity in both countries and at the same time integrating with Puerto Ricans who love and value art.”

For her part, the artist Ana María Henríquez highlighted that this type of encounter “demonstrates the growth that the new generations of Dominicans are having in the plastic arts, both inside and outside the country“. Henríquez underscored the commitment of Dominican creators to continue projecting their talent beyond borders.

The “Collective Expo: Caribbean Confluence” will remain open to the public for several days at the Casa Dominicana, as part of the cultural initiatives that strengthen the bond between both Caribbean nations.
