HIGÜEY, La Altagracia.– The story of Ariany Capio, a 17-year-old young woman residing in the Los Platanitos sector, in Higüey, has sparked concern due to the difficult conditions in which she claims to live with her five children.
According to her testimony, she was married when she was just 11 years old. She is currently raising her children alone, as her husband is serving a two-year prison sentence for a robbery case.
The young woman explained that she is going through a complex economic situation that prevents her from covering basic needs such as food, the purchase of medicines, and other essential expenses for her children.
Likewise, she indicated that, although she is part of a family consisting of four sisters, she does not have sufficient resources to support the minors.

Faced with this reality, Ariany made an appeal to the authorities, social assistance institutions, and supportive citizens to provide her with support so that she can improve her family’s living conditions.
The young woman expressed that any kind of help would represent a relief for her and her children, with the hope of offering them a future in better conditions.
