Fabián Ríos asked for empathy for Francisco Bolívar; “No one knows the other person’s battle”
DUM Editorial.- Colombian actor Fabián Ríos spoke out about the situation of his friend and colleague Francisco Bolívar, whose mental health has caused concern among his followers due to some of his recent social media posts.
Through Instagram, Ríos called for empathy and asked her followers to avoid pointing fingers at the actor, known for playing Jota in Sin senos sí hay paraíso.
“Today I am not speaking to you as a brother, nor as an artist, nor as someone who wants to defend anyone. I am speaking to you as a human being,” Ríos wrote next to a photograph in which he appears with Bolívar.
The actor highlighted that his colleague has gifted for years “laughter, joy, emotions and moments” to those who have followed his career and asked that, before judging him, people consider the difficulties he may be going through. “Because no one knows the battle that another person is fighting on the inside,” he expressed.
Ríos also invited his followers to replace criticism with shows of affection and support. “What would you do if one day the pain in your soul left you without the strength to get up?”, he questioned, before raising the importance of lending a hand to someone going through a difficult time.

The actor asserted that “we are not God to judge” and reminded that no person is exempt from going through situations of vulnerability.
“That is why today I ask you, with my heart in my hand: let us not add fuel to the fire. Let us pray. Let us send love. Let us send hugs. Let us remind him that he is not alone,” he stated.

Concern for Bolívar increased in recent months following some posts made by the actor on Instagram. In May, Colombian journalist Carlos Ochoa reported that Bolívar had allegedly had to leave the filming of the new season of Sin senos sí hay paraíso due to alleged mental health issues.
The Telemundo production is scheduled to premiere the new season in November.
Ríos had previously requested prayers for his friend and colleague. Now, he has once again used his social media to ask for respect and understanding toward Bolívar.
“Perhaps a message from you, a word of affection, a prayer… could be the little light someone needs to decide to stay,” he/she wrote.
Finally, Ríos closed his message with an invitation to support those going through difficult times: “Let us be human. Let us be empathetic. Let us save with love what pain tries to destroy”.
