Mexico.- A 6.1 magnitude earthquake, with its epicenter located 116 kilometers southwest of the city of Guasave, in the Mexican state of Sinaloa, in the northwest of the country, was recorded this Tuesday afternoon, with no reports of damage.

n” “nIn a report, the SSN indicated that the earthquake was located in the Gulf of California, 116 km southwest of Guasave, and at a depth of 5 kilometers.

The institution explained that when an earthquake of “considerable magnitude occurs, the rocks located near the rupture zone undergo a rearrangement, which generates a series of tremors in the area that are called aftershocks“.
