Santo Domingo.– President Luis Abinader led the delivery of 2,322 property titles this Wednesday to families in the Gualey, María Auxiliadora, and 27 de Febrero sectors, as part of the Domingo Savio titling project, an initiative through which the Government seeks to guarantee legal security and improve the quality of life for thousands of residents of the National District.
During the event held at the Domingo Savio Sports Center, the president reported that with this new delivery, the number of titles granted within this project has risen to 5,822, directly benefiting an equal number of families and indirectly impacting more than 23,000 people. Likewise, he highlighted that these documents represent dignity, social justice, and new development opportunities for those who for years occupied their land without legal backing.
“The most important thing is that this brings peace and tranquility, because you already know that you have security over what is yours. That is dignity, that is social justice,” expressed Abinader, noting that titling increases the value of properties and allows families to access the formal financial system to improve their homes, start businesses, and guarantee the inheritance of their assets.
The head of state indicated that the Government has delivered around 170 thousand property titles throughout the national territory, making this public policy one of the social initiatives with the greatest impact. “It is a project of hope, development, and true social justice,” he affirmed.
For his part, the executive director of the Technical Executing Unit for State Land Titling (UTECT), Duarte Méndez Peña, highlighted that this third delivery in Domingo Savio is part of the commitment made by the Government to transform the lives of thousands of Dominicans through the regularization of their properties.

The official explained that the 2,322 titles delivered are in addition to the 3,500 previously granted, bringing the project closer to the goal of around 8,000 documents in the area. Furthermore, he specified that the process has impacted about 23,888 people and has represented an approximate savings of RD$185.7 million for the beneficiaries, who received their titles at no cost.
“Today you receive your title without investing a single peso. This document represents peace of mind, heritage, and the security that your families have a right recognized by the Dominican State,” stated Méndez Peña.

On behalf of the beneficiary families, Massiel Eugenia Acevedo thanked President Abinader for making a historic aspiration of the community a reality. “He is giving us back our peace of mind, the right to say: this house is mine, this property belongs to me,” she expressed.
The blessing of the event was led by the priest of the Santa Ana Church of Gualey, Father José Hernando Mendoza. Also participating were the General Director of National Assets, Rafael Burgos Gómez; the General Director of the National Cadastre, Héctor Pérez Mirambeaux; the President of the Presidential Commission for Neighborhood Development Support, Rolfi Domingo Rojas Guzmán, and the Assistant to the President for Special Projects, Víctor Sánchez Féliz.
