Santo Domingo. – President Luis Abinader led a new session of the Government Council this Monday, the 56th since the beginning of his administration, with the participation of ministers and cabinet officials at the National Palace.
Members of the Government began arriving early at the presidential headquarters to take part in the meeting, where issues related to official actions, work plans, and priority matters of the public administration are being reviewed.
As part of the protocol established for these meetings, officials handed over their cell phones before entering the room where the session is taking place, a measure applied to ensure the confidentiality of the topics discussed.

The meeting was led by the president together with the main heads of State institutions, who are presenting progress and evaluating the actions being executed from their respective areas.
At the end of the meeting, a government representative is expected to provide details to the media regarding the points discussed and the decisions made during the day.
