Santo Domingo.– President Luis Abinader will lead a Council of Ministers this Sunday, June 14, at the Botanical Garden of Santiago, as part of the official agenda he will carry out during his visit to the Heart City.
The work meeting is part of a day that will include inaugurations of infrastructure works and meetings with representatives from different sectors of the northern region, with the aim of following up on development projects and identifying new needs of the communities.
After concluding the Council of Ministers, the president will travel to the Los Jardines sector to inaugurate the roofing of the Domingo Paulino Sports Club, a project awaited by athletes and residents of the area, intended to promote sports practice and community activities.
Subsequently, Abinader will put into operation a new drinking water pumping station in Villa Hortensia, as well as several distribution lines that seek to improve the service supply to hundreds of families in the province.
The presidential agenda also includes meetings with community leaders, students, and representatives of the business sector, with whom they will address issues related to economic development, education, and the region’s priorities.

In addition, the head of state will oversee and inaugurate works related to the areas of health, education, sports, drinking water, and road infrastructure, as part of the investment program that the Government is executing in Santiago and other provinces of the Cibao region.
The president’s visit reaffirms the strategic importance of Santiago within the national development plans and is part of the Government’s policy of outreach to communities, through the direct evaluation of projects and contact with different sectors of society.
With this session, President Luis Abinader seeks to provide continuity to the projects under execution and strengthen coordination between the different state institutions to respond to the population’s demands.
