The CEO of Banco de Reservas, Dr. Leonardo Aguilera, swore in Luis Valdez Veras this Tuesday as the new executive vice president of Seguros Reservas, who joins the banking and financial services group’s subsidiary to contribute his managerial experience to the insurance company. After swearing in the new incumbent, Aguilera expressed his satisfaction in putting Valdez at the head of the entity, to whom, he said, he is giving the challenge of surpassing the achievements made by Seguros Reservas.
Also, Luis Valdez, upon assuming the direction of Seguros Reservas, thanked for the support and trust in this task, and expressed his commitment to meeting expectations, carrying out efficient work.“We have done well and we are going to continue doing better with Luis’s management, proven in the public sector,” highlighted the banking executive.

The new incumbent has a law degree and specializes in Tax Law and Tax Procedure Law, with years of experience in the public sector. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Law and Society at the Universidad a Distancia de Madrid (UDIMA), Spain. Valdez has worked in the area as a budget consultant in the Ministry of Economy, Planning and Development; in addition to having integrated the Commission of Inspection and Control of the funds of Law 166-03 in the Dominican Municipal League. In public administration, he headed the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) from 2020 until last week.
