ANDECLIP lifts suspension of services to ARS Primera affiliates following agreement
Santo Domingo.– The National Association of Private Clinics and Hospitals (ANDECLIP) suspended the strike of medical services that it had announced for this Tuesday, July 14, for ARS Primera affiliates, after reaching an agreement that will allow negotiations to continue between both parties.
The decision ensures that users of the health risk administrator will continue to receive care normally within the provider network, while conversations to find a solution to the conflict continue.
ARS Primera reported, through a statement, that the understanding reached will allow for the continuity of health services to be maintained and for the proposals presented by ANDECLIP to be analyzed within the appropriate institutional channels.
The entity also highlighted the mediation of the Minister of Labor and the General Manager of the National Social Security Council (CNSS), whose intervention contributed to maintaining dialogue and avoiding interruptions in the care provided to affiliates.

The conflict arose after ANDECLIP announced the suspension of services as part of its demands for Health Risk Administrators (ARS) to review and update the rates they pay to private clinics, arguing that the sector’s operating costs have increased.
In the midst of the dispute, the Superior Administrative Court (TSA) accepted a preventive amparo action filed by the Information and Defense Directorate for Social Security Affiliates (DIDA), ordering ANDECLIP to refrain from executing the measure while the merits of the appeal are being heard. The hearing was set for this Wednesday, July 15.
For its part, the Dominican Medical Association (CMD) expressed its support for the review of rates requested by private clinics, although it insisted that the differences must be resolved through dialogue to prevent patients from being harmed.
